Power Edit is supplied with a spell checker dictionary file for American English.
You may download other dictionary files here. After downloading, simply unzip the
file and copy the dictionary file (which has the extension ADM) into the directory
where Power Edit is installed. In Power Edit, open the Spell Check and click the
Options button (the current file must have at least one
misspelled word, or the dialog will not appear). You will see all installed dictionaries
listed. Click the check box for the dictionaries you want the program to use.
If you put the dictionary file in any other directory, you will need to click
Locate Dictionaries to inform the program of its location.
These dictionaries are supplied by Addictive Software,
which produces the spell checking software used in Power Edit, and their accuracy cannot
be guaranteed. |
